So today while using my HP envy 360 laptop the screen has randomly fallen off the left hinges and is very loose. I was able to press it back in place temporarily, however whenever I move the screen it comes off the hinges again. I have had the laptop for about 2 years and unfortunately warranty is over, this is upsetting because I have made sure to take very good care of my laptop and this problem still occurred. I also did some research and it seems this problem is common for HP envy users.
What did you people who had a similar problem do?
Any recommendations are appreciated

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the hinge.
Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.
I recommend you contact support and check the available service option for your computer.
Here is how you can get in touch with support.
1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/
2)Select the product type.
3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.
4)Select the country from the drop-down.
5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.
Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
P.S: Welcome to the HP Support Community 😊

i have tried this option multiple times and all that appears is an HP service location screen. I am not able to talk to anyone from support which is extremely frustrating!! How can I talk to an agent to fix this?!!
I am honestly shocked at the amount of people that have had the exact same problem with their HP envy 360 and yet the laptop was never recalled. It seems that HP does not want to take responsibility for the faulty engineering and a design that often leads to this problem. Here are a few links to people with the same issue:
You can find many more posts of people who had this problem on this site and others like reddit
I have been a supporter of HP all my life, this is my third HP laptop, but the lack of customer service and short life span of these products has really begun to frustrate me. If HP does not provide me with support to fix this issue I will no longer be an HP customer. This is the last straw for me and after going through the forums I can tell I'm not alone !

@Johnnypeppers If you got that number from the HP website it's the one you need to use, as that's region dependent, that said, If you have an HP authorized service center near by, you should be able to take it to them and have it checked,
Here is a link to HP Service Centers, by Country/Region: Click here
If you wish to thank me for my efforts, you could click on "Accept as solution" on my post as the solution should help others too.

I am not sure where I got that number I was transferred 5 times within the call to the right department. They quoted me 120 for the new hinges and wanted me to pay by credit card over the phone. Is there a reason why no one can confirm that number is truly HP?
As for thanking you for your efforts, you haven't done anything for me. I private messaged the other guy like he asked and he never got back to me. Its now been 4 days on these forums and neither of you has provided me with any valuable information. The only thing worst than HP products is their customer service. So no I will not be thanking you for your efforts. Maybe try answering my questions and helping me before you go asking for praise.
Terrible customer service ! Stay away from HP!!!!!

@Johnnypeppers We are doing the best we can to help you get through this, that said, I went as far as checking with the other guy you messaged as well, he's away from office for a few days and he mentioned your region, I've pulled some strings seeing everything you've gone through and I've sent out a private message with the details you need.
I hope that helps.
