Hello, is it possible to replace my hp elite book folio 1040 g3 touch display screen with a non touch screen? I can’t seem to find a replacement for my touch screen. Will the size, connector and assembly match.

Yes, it’s possible. I think any screen (with a compatible resolution) could do the job. The important thing is that the connector has the same number of pins. You also need to check the screw layout, if there is one. Additionally, you could look for a used identical model and use it as a donor for the screen. Have you thought about that?

Yes, it is possible to replace the touch screen on the HP EliteBook 1040 G3 with a non touch screen, but it is not always a direct swap. Touch and non touch models often use different display cables and connectors, so the parts may not match if you only change the panel. The most reliable option is to replace the complete non touch display assembly made for the 1040 G3, which ensures the fit, hinges, and cable are all compatible. Before ordering, check your exact model number and current screen resolution and, if you can, confirm the display cable type inside the laptop to avoid buying the wrong part.
