Hi @wrestlerhussy,
Thank you for the response.
I understand your laptop screen is showing white spots under the camera only on a black background. Let’s go through a few steps to investigate this.
a. Clean the Screen
• Use a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth to gently clean the screen around the camera.
• Avoid using harsh chemicals; a small amount of water or screen cleaner is enough.
b. Check for Pressure Marks
• White spots can appear if the screen was pressed or bumped.
• Avoid applying pressure on the affected area.
c. Inspect in Different Conditions
• Open a completely black image or dark background and check if the spots persist.
• Switch to a bright background and check if they disappear.
d. Run a Pixel/Screen Test
• Some laptops have built-in diagnostics for display.
• Boot into the diagnostics mode or use software tools to check for stuck or dead pixels.
e. Check for Backlight or Display Issues
• White spots under the camera can sometimes be caused by backlight unevenness or pressure on the LCD layers.
• If the spots are consistent and don’t change with screen content, it’s likely a hardware issue.
f. Avoid DIY Repairs
• Do not attempt to open the display yourself; this can make the issue worse.
g. Monitor for Changes
• If the spots grow, spread, or start appearing in other areas, it indicates progressive screen damage.
I hope this helps.
