Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Laptop is randomly whitewashing the whole screen whilst I'm using the machine.

Scenario: I am programming in visual studio and the laptop is working fine. Without any warning or indication, all pixel on screen stop updating and the colours on screen gradually shift from whatever should be displaying to a chaotic mixture of colours then to all white.

Without any interaction, the screen is stuck like this. Sometimes if I move the screen about, it'll return back to normal and then repeat the event again randomly. Otherwise, even moving the screen about doesn't change anything and screen stays the same.

It was sporadic at first but now it's much more frequent each time I use the computer.

No clue on fix, please help!

@KingKarel

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Did you make any changes on the settings of your PC prior to the issue?
  • When was the last time it worked fine?
  • Have you updated Graphics and Chipset drivers?
  • Have you checked the display on an external monitor?

Keep me posted for further assistance.
