My hp14s-fq laptop screen appears black with lights when plugged in and turned on, i have tried all advised techniques and methods but have had no luck, when i plugged my laptop into an external monitor it showed up on the external monitor but not on my laptop screen, does anybody know if they could advise me, i have never damaged the laptop it is in perfect external condition, i have had it for roughly 4 years now.

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Perform a Hard Reset:
Power off the laptop completely.
Unplug the power cord.
Hold the power button for 15-30 seconds.
Reconnect the power and try to turn it on again.
Test in Safe Mode: Boot your laptop in Safe Mode (press F8) to see if the screen works in a minimal state. If it does, it might be a graphics driver issue.
BIOS Reset: If you have access to the external monitor, try entering the BIOS (by pressing Esc or F10 during startup) and see if the internal display works there. You can reset BIOS settings to defaults, which might help if there's a misconfigured setting causing the issue.
