HP Spectre x360 16 inches 2-in-1 laptop bought in US on 20th May 2023, then I moved and resident in Oman .

Unfortunately the half of the screen is dark (not illuminating) and contacted  HP service assistant on chat and also service center in Oman.  Both diagnosed it as hardware problem, and I was told the screen need to be replaced.

But HP Authorized Service Centre in Muscat, Oman will not entertain my device as it was purchased outside Oman that is in USA.

No what I am suppose to do???

Its not fair to push the customer out like this. Why a customer should be put into inconvenience just because in the country of residence in my case Oman is apparently not authorized to take care of device bought in USA .

Local service center suggested contact HP for authorization - why it should be my job. Also I don't know whom to contact for this approval.

One silver lining that the local service center gave - they took the purchase receipt copy and said they will try to get an approval but no guaranty ...

Any help will be appreciated.

I have contacted them before putting it in community platform.

Unfortunately they want me to ship the device to USA as it was brought from USA, and currently I am a resident of Middle-east , here it has no support service for this device.
