HP Envy Laptop 17-cg1xxx

Hello, I am having trouble setting up multiple monitors on an HP Envy Laptop 17-cg1xxx with a Dell D3100 docking station. I plugged the docking station into my laptop and the mouse, internet, and keyboard work great, but I cannot get my laptop to recognize multiple displays despite having two monitors plugged into the docking station. Is this an issue with using a Dell D3100 docking station? Do I need to get a different docking station, or is there a way to get this to work?

What is your HP Envy Laptop 17-cg1xxx  machine ? It should have same ports of the following machine

              HP ENVY Laptop 17-cg1075cl

I don't know Dell products but your machine has  1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 10Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge) port which is good for HP USB-C G5   dock. (I tested it for my HP Envy 15-ee machine which has same port.)

Regards.

Hi Banhien, thanks for the help, I appreciate it. I do have a SuperSpeed USB Type-C port. Unfortunately, the docking station does not have that port. It uses a USB 2.0 to 4-pin USB Type-A port to connect the laptop to the docking station.

Here is the product specifications for my laptop:
