Hello all,

Some time ago, I noticed that my laptop was slow to respond to the pressing of several keys. I've now arrived at a point where all of those keys are completely unresponsive.

The keys are: b, n, CAPS LOCK, +=, f8 (volume up), delete, f12 and the furthest right ALT.

Liquid damage seems impossible, for the keys are fairly spread out. I've tried the following:

- Took out the keys that were not working and cleaned them

- Took a look at the flat cable that connects the keyboard to the mother board, which seems to be working properly

- Cleaned the motherboard from dust (after that, my keyboard functioned properly for about three minutes)

- Installed all newest updates for both my OS and keyboard driver

- Tried a USB-connected keyboard / onscreen keyboard, which all do work properly

- Ran a Component test for the keyboard, which failed

What could possibly be the problem?

Thanks in advance.

Yours sincerely,

Mick
