Should I increase V-RAM size from what it is currently

So for a while I've had had games not work perfectly with my laptop and to make it work better, I bought a 4GB RAM stick to increase it from 6GB (2 & 4) to 8GB (4GBx2). However I didnt think, as I am not as tech savy as I want to be, about VRAM which is  at 512MB. Other than Windows Update I havent done anything in addition to the 4GB RAM stick fyi. I put "Should" rather than "could" as its more should i do it or just leave it alone till I upgrade it or buy a PC.

Integrated video (iGPU) does not have room for keep VRAM, it relies on System. System will work this out and allocate/assign spare/available system RAM to VRAM automatically when required up to max limit. System will also take VRAM back when required (the number is dynamic, not fix). During the good old days, we could do this from BIOS but now OS is smarter.

Note: Recently people post Youtube on internet saying they can change using Regedit. Many people try but the results are unpredictable.
