Hi  @Giblet26,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand how it must feel when your printer shows lights but doesn’t actually power up.

Let’s work together to get this sorted out.

Here are a few steps you can try that resolve this issue:

1.Perform a Power Reset

This clears residual power and can restore normal startup.

Disconnect the power cord from the printer while it’s ON

Unplug the cord from the wall outlet

Wait at least 60 seconds

Plug the cord directly into a wall outlet (avoid surge protectors)

Reconnect to the printer and press the power button

2.Check Power Source

Test the outlet with another device to confirm it works

If available, try a different power cord compatible with your printer

3.Inspect Control Panel

A blank screen may indicate a stuck button or display issue.

Gently press and hold the power button for 5–10 seconds

Look for any faint backlight or flicker on the display

Ensure no buttons are jammed or stuck

4.Disconnect USB/Ethernet

External connections can sometimes prevent startup.

Remove any USB cables or Ethernet cables

Leave only the power cord connected

Try powering on again

5.Try a Different Outlet

Eliminates the possibility of voltage irregularities.

Move the printer to another room or outlet

Plug directly into the wall socket

Attempt to power on

I hope this helps.
