Specter 3 finger middle mouse button not working

I have a Specter with the 8th gen intel i5. My problem is I want the 3 finger touch to activate the middle mouse button without opening windows search. in my mouse properties the Synaptics tab is missing. I have tried deleting the drivers and reinstalling, updating the drivers, rolling back the drivers and nothing seems to work and the synaptics tab is still missing. I tried installing the HP support app and it says all my drivers are up to date.

Can somebody please help me with this.
