Dear,
I've recently bought the new Spectre x360. It comes with an active stylus pen, which is apparently not working.
I've plugged it in the charger that comes with the laptop for 1 hour, as advised. It has no indication that is charging (a LED usually). And after I unplug it and try to turn it on, it doesn't do anything.
Am I doing anything wrong? Or should I return it?
Thank you,
Pedro

Apparently you shouldn't use the same charger as the laptop. Customer service said that this probably fried my pen, so they replaced it (though reluctantly). I had to buy a separate USB-C cable to charge the new pen.

Sorry, please clarify: the laptop does not work or the stylus does not work ? We don't charger stylus, it uses a small battery.
Regards.

The laptop works fine. Only the stylus that I haven't been able to get working.
But I'm pretty sure that I'm supposed to charge it, that's what is saying in the leaflet it came with. Otherwise the USB-C port in it would not make much sense, would it?
Thank you for your quick reply,
Pedro

Hi,
What is your stylus actually ? I have not seen or heard about charging a stylus. I've been using 3 styluses, 2 from HP and 1 from Dell they all use AAAA (4 letter A's) batteries (I'm using Anergizer E96). I also have 2 pens 1 from HP and 1 from Dell but they don't use battery.
Regards.

Actually I don't know. I can't seem to find the exact model on the HP website. In the leaflet it says the model number is SPEN-HP-03. However, when I google it nothing comes out.
It looks remarkably similar to this one, although not a perfect match. http://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-pen
It has only one buttom and an "eraser".
The leaflet that came with it is the following. It even shows the charging capability.

Did you open the stylus and check ? Does it have USB-C port for you to plug a charger to it ? I hate many flyers, many of them only have pictures and no text.
Regards.

Hi,
I don't have model/product of the stylus therefore no way I can check this. There is a list of available styluses on the following link. Please check to see which one.

Now I see it in the link. They have literally just included it, because I've opened this link multiple times today.
It is the last one, the "HP Tilt Pen (Microsoft)". I could not find it either at the american or british website, only at the dutch and italian ones.
This is it: http://store.hp.com/ItalyStore/Merch/Product.aspx?id=2MY21AA&opt=ABB&sel=DEF
I've have recently tried to update the drivers to no avail. Maybe the pen is really broken..

Hi,
It is a Microsoft stylus and looks like it only supports the x360 13-aexxx machines. I think the best way is to look at its root. Please try the following
Dozens of people have same problem.
