Spectre X360
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The screen of my Spectre X360 goes blank as soon as I connect it to a power source. When I unplug it, it's working fine.  I'm not sure it is linked, but pretty much at the same, my monitor (connected to the laptop via HDMI) does not recognise the laptop anymore.

This could be an issue with the connectivity. Try these steps -

 

1) Shutdown the computer. 
2) Unplug all the Adapter and peripherals connected. 
3) Press and hold down the power button for 15 to 20 seconds. 
4) Plug-in the Adapter. 
5) Try to turn on the computer. 

 

If the issue still persists, try updating the computer -

 

Step 1 Windows Updates troubleshooter -

Click on this link to run Windows Updates troubleshooter.

 

Step 2 Windows Updates - 

1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates. 
2) Check for updates. 
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer. 

 

Step 3 HP Support Assistant Updates - 

1) In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant. 
2) Check for updates. 
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer. 

 

Also, try updating the BIOS. Refer to this document for steps.

 

If the issue still persists, run the Systems Test -

 

1) Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
2) Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.
3) On the main menu, click System Tests.
