Spectre x2 Detachable Screen Bulging

Hello - My "almost 3-year old" Spectre x2 12-inch screen is starting to bulge in the lower left-side of the computer.  I need help understanding my options besides calling a nearby recommended repair service.  Even though I am out of warranty I was not sure if this is a known issue that has led to a recall or maybe there is a service pack I can purchase that is more cost-effective to have this issue remedied.  Thanks!
