Spectre x360 14 DisplayPort 1.4 output only on one port?

I recently purchased a Spectre x360 14 and am quite enjoying it so far. I do have an issue/question regarding the laptop's display output capability. The specifications page indicates that both Thunderbolt 4/USB-C ports are capable of using the DisplayPort 1.4 protocol, which allows for support of external monitors up to 8K resolution at 60 Hz. I have a 4K/120 Hz display, and when I connect it to the USB-C port on the back corner of the laptop, it works perfectly. However, if I connect it to the second port (the one in front of the headphone jack), it only operates at 4K/60 Hz, which is the maximum allowed resolution and refresh rate of DisplayPort 1.2. I have the latest Intel display drivers installed. If this is normal/expected behavior, that's fine, but then the documentation should be updated accordingly. Otherwise, is there some setting somewhere I should be made aware of that allows my display's full support on the second USB port?
