Recently my HP Laptop display goes on the fritz and starts opening random windows and shows an odd circle and line pattern in a vertical layout. It seems to happen when the laptop gets hot. My theory is that it's a failing fan or fans. Anyone ever seen this before? How do I order and replace my laptop fans? Thanks.

@Paul_W-1979, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Check if the fan is working:
Listen for the fan noise.
Feel for air blowing from the vents.
Clean the fan and vents:
Use a can of compressed air to blow dust out of the vents.
This can help if dust is blocking the fan.
Please provide me with the exact model number of your laptop, and I’ll help you find the compatible replacement fan.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
