For the third time after a windows update, my synaptics touchpad got unusable after a windows update.

The two finger scrolling is reversed and this "tapping = click" is activated which makes the touchpad basically unusable for me.

There is no new driver out yet and unfortunately I am travelling the next 3 weeks and can't just switch to a different computer (as I usually did in this situation). Is there any permanent solution or will HP ever solve this issue? I read a lot of complaints about it in other forums too. 😕

@Obstmann Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that the Synaptics touchpad is not working after windows update.

I understand your concerns.

I would suggest you uninstall the windows update. Until the new drivers update release.

Please follow the below steps.

If you've recently installed a Windows update, uninstall the update to try to resolve the issue.

  1. Select the Start  button, then select Settings  Update & Security   Windows Update  > View your update history > Uninstall updates.

After uninstalling the updates, please do not click for the update.

However, I will take the feedback and update it to the concerned team.
