I usually let others install, have issues, get fixes and just wait until all issues are sorted, give it a good 6months wait time before I install such major updates, but that's just me, you are welcome to give it a shot 😉

Hi TEJ1602,
That sounds sensible. Just two problems:
Firstly, I think my warranty runs out before that, and I want HP technical support to be available when I do install this update (for the reasons I've mentioned).
Secondly, if another problem does arise whilst I'm waiting to see if it's safe to install the update, I don't want it to be blamed on my failure to keep Windows properly updated.

We'll be here and ready to help even if the warranty runs out, so we've got the warranty part covered.
And the thing you need to know about most updates (long story short) is that you only install it to resolve specific issues as most updates work as a patch to fix previous bugs if you don't have any issues, you don't really need to update, except of course if the updates released has some sort of new advantages, depends on the update, you can always go to the Microsoft website and learn more about updates and how they work for each application.
Keep me posted.
