I've got an HP Spectre x360 - 15 - ch011dx and just bought a docking station that supports dual 4k external monitors, but the laptop won't detect more than one external display at a time. I've updated all my graphics and drivers but I can't figure out what the problem is. The docking station charges the laptop. All the ports work individually. I have used my thunderport before to connect to my monitors using a DP+HDMI to USBC Adapter but the laptop doesn't want to work the same way with the docking station.
As a temporary fix I've connected an hdmi cable directly into my laptop, so both of my monitors are working. However, I can't get them to both work from the thunderport anymore.
My docking station is a: Cable Matters - Hybrid Thunderbolt 3 Docking Station with 96w Power Delivery
My Monitors are: LG UHD Monitor
What do I need to do to get this fixed?
If my laptop isn't compatible with the docking station, then how can I upgrade it to be so?
