I've changed all of the various windows power/screen settings to never turn the screen/computer off when closing the lid (Do Nothing). However, the screen still turns off...

Is there a bios or registry setting I can change to stop this from happening?

Thanks,

Jay

Yes -- in Settings, enter "closing" (without the quotes).  This should open Control Panel --> All Control Panel Items --> Power Options --> System Settings

Look at the third row of selections: When I close the lid

The default setting for each is Sleep.  Change that to Do nothing.

Good Luck

Thanks @WAWood, but I'm assuming you didn't read my original post because I specifically stated that all of those settings are already set that way. Closing the lid still shuts the screen off....

Yeah I read your post -- but my interpretation is that you only set the power/sleep options that are in Settings.  These items are in a different location and most folks don't know to look there.

Sorry ... tried to help.

Again, much appreciate the help! Its for when I'm trying to connect to my laptop remotely through RemotePC. It needs the screen on in order to connect. I can get in no problem (with the lid closed) with Teamviewer, but not with RemotePC.

I'd rather not have to have the lid open 24/7 just to be able to remote in...
