Pavilion dv3500
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hi there.

Product: HP laptop pavilion dv3500

Operating system: Microsoft Windows 7 (32-Bit)

Battery: HSTNN-151C

AC adapter: PPP009L-E

My laptop (second-hand, yeah, i know, old school) is stuck on startup screen after I typed the password to log in several days ago. Tried turning off the laptop and turning on, taking out the battery, puting back, still the same, and it gets stuck on the startup screen, won't go any further after the 'fatal' login of days before.

I am trying the primary hard disk self test right now.

What should I do to help it to complete the startup and open?

1. Any specific tips,

2. Taking straight to an expert.

Thank you beforehand!

Sorry to hear that you are having problems ... and I would like to help you.

(1) Test your hardware Using the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI)

Thank you for your quick reply.

Unfortunately, the steps mentioned in the video perhaps are not relevant because my laptop doesn't give me that options.

Is there any other possible solution?

In old computers, the hard disk is usually faulty.
At least Hard disk (S.M.A.R.T test) and RAM test should be performed.

If the hard disk is faulty, it must be replaced and the operating system must be reinstalled. Do you know someone who knows computers well ?

There was someone. He solved the issue. Thanks.
