Hi, I have a HP Pavilion Laptop running Windows 10 Pro - on the system page, it says Pen and Touch Support with 20 touch points.
My question is, what does Pen and Touch Support with 20 touch points mean?
In addition, I have Windows Ink Workspace available - can I use a stylus pen?
Thank you in advance,

Hello @StrawberryNugg,
Windows Ink Workspace is usually the first indication of stylus support. I believe the description of touch points in settings simply refers to limited touch or multitouch. Your computer can theoretically support 20 touch inputs at a time whereas other computers may only be able to support 2 due to hardware/software limitations.
To check stylus compatibility, a specific model/product number would be appreciated. (Please do not post serial numbers on the HP Support Forum)
Information on how to find a laptop's model/product number is detailed in this HP document.
Kind regards,
Eddy

The number of touch points is the number of separate touches the system can register at once. 10 points is standard these days - that being the number of fingers and thumbs most of us have. I have never come across a system with more than 10 point touch. It is hard to see an application for more thant 10 points unless you plan to use your nose or your toes as well as fingers and thumbs! In practice, it is rare to have a need for more than 4 point touch.
Mention of pen support and the availability of Windows Ink Workspace indicates your system almost certainly has active pen support, but you would need to check this list (click) for which pens are compatible (xx means 'anything' in the model number).
