Hi @Hritik001,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP Pavilion x360 14" 2-in-1 Laptop's stylus is experiencing a calibration or hardware issue if it's writing without touching the screen. Here are a few troubleshooting steps to try.
Restart the Laptop
- A simple restart can often resolve issues related to calibration or drivers.
Check for Stylus Battery
- If your stylus uses a battery, make sure it is charged or replace the battery if needed.
Update Drivers
- Ensure that your laptop's touchscreen and stylus drivers are up to date. You can check for updates in Device Manager:
- Right-click on the Start Menu and select Device Manager.
- Under Human Interface Devices, locate HID-compliant touch screen or similar drivers related to your stylus.
- Right-click and select Update driver.
Calibrate the Touchscreen
- Incorrect calibration might cause the stylus to behave erratically. To recalibrate the touchscreen:
- Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Tablet PC Settings.
- Under the Display tab, click on Calibrate and follow the on-screen instructions.
Disable and Re-enable Touchscreen
- Sometimes disabling and re-enabling the touchscreen driver can help.
- In Device Manager, locate HID-compliant touch screen.
- Right-click and select Disable, then right-click again and select Enable.
Check for System Updates
- Go to Settings > Update & Security and check for any Windows updates that might include fixes for the touchscreen or stylus functionality.
Test with Another Stylus
- If you have access to another stylus, test it on your laptop to see if the issue persists. This will help determine if the problem is with the stylus or the screen.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
