Hello,
I am using an HP 250 G9 and recently upgraded the device with 16GB of RAM and a 1TB SSD, both of which are officially supported.
After a Windows security update (RollupFix~26100.4061.1.18) installed automatically on June 12, 2025, the built-in keyboard stopped working completely at the Windows login screen. I could only use an external USB keyboard, the on-screen keyboard wasn't working either.
I booted into the recovery environment and used DISM to manually uninstall the update:
dism /image:C:\/removepackage/PackageName:Package_for_RollupFix~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~26100.4061.1.18 After this, the keyboard worked normally again.
However, Windows keeps reinstalling the same update automatically, breaking the keyboard every time.
This appears to be a compatibility issue between this specific Windows update and the keyboard firmware or drivers on the HP 250 G9. I would like to report this so HP can investigate and possibly release a fix or updated driver/BIOS that resolves the issue.
Please let me know if there's an official fix
