HP spectre x360 13-AC013DX
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I saw that the new 2017 kaby lake spectre x360 was compatible with n-trig pens so I bought the surface pen (the one that comes with the new surface pro 4/surface book), I connected the pen via bluetooth however it wont write, the eraser button works and it lauches one note however it doesn't ink, amI missing any drivers? Why isn't it working?

Hi,

No, it won't work. No one can explain why, only NOT compatible.

(a) I've tested HP stylus on MS Surface and it won't work.

(b) I've tested HP stylus (same as above) on my loan HP Spectre x360 15" and it won't work

I believe at this stage, no universal standard otherwise Belkin, Logitech .... would make heaps of them. Please check the following list which shows 3 HP styluses:

Stylus for Spectre x360 13-ac0xx is coming soon (still to be tested and probably firmware upgrade).    Please wait.

Regards.

Hi,

Well. I only say what I've tested. I don't test Microsoft stylus. Full stop. You may want to talk with OTHER USERs.

The active stylus does not work with the Kaby Lake convertibles. I've tried it with mine to no joy.

the Surface Pen DOES work on my HP Spectre x360 15-bl075nr - the $1,500 laptop. Connected with no problem, writes, etc. The only problem I have is that it is using the HP stylus software. I am searching on now on how to use the clicker at the end of the pen to open apps, etc.

But yes, it is writing perfectly using HP software.

I have a 13 inch 13t-w000 and several tech support people have told me that the active stylus doesn't work. So if your's works, congratulations.

With your older model it more than likely does not work. This is their top of the line newer model I am referring to and I can confirm the pen works and its extremely responsive. Like I said, the clicker does not at this point.
