Hello guys I got a real issue with my laptop omen hp 15-ax244nf feat° built in GTX 1050 2mb and i5 7300 cpu
I bought this second hand laptop and wanted to hard reset the laptop, by this time it was going perfectly fine.
I delete windows and performed a factory reset by reinstalling the internal backup and this is where problems begin:
Ever since, the 1050GTX is no longer recognized by windows and doesnt even appear in the device manager section. at the same time the 1050 GPU fans are always on. the only display left is the built in intel 630 graphic.
When it turn it on, an error 90D (thermal shutdown) appears, as much as the processor temperature is always below 30°c
As much as I tried, I cant solve the problem. In the meantime i performed the following operation:
Replaced the two fans, updated the latest bios, updated all the components with the latest drivers, cleaned through the board,browse through the bios to find a chipset option where i could potentially swp one display to another, with no chance..it seems that this topic is a regular one browsing on the various community topics. Hope you can give me a hand on that cheers

Hello @Olibao .
You can also clean the components with isopropyl alcohol (do not use any other type of alcohol) and change the thermal paste for a high conductivity one.
You can follow the instructions in the following link:

@Olibao .
ahh perfect, thanks for commenting.
There may be a direct problem with the fan(s) here; have you cleaned them with compressed air and applied lubricant to the shaft, if not, I recommend that you shake them out, then apply 3 in one oil or WD40 to the shaft, and push on the shaft like a button.

@Olibao .
That's right!!! I thought they were used fans that you had purchased.
The power drain is suitable for a hardware restart or hard reset to be performed, and this does not erase personal information.
Many boot errors and other problems can be solved by decreasing the stored energy in the hardware components. This procedure of reducing stored energy is also known as a hard reset.
o Turn off the computer.
o Disconnect the computer from any port replicators or docking stations.
o Disconnect all peripheral devices, such as USB storage devices, external displays, or printers.
o Disconnect the AC adapter from the computer.
o Turn the computer over and look for the battery compartment door to determine whether or not your computer's battery is removable.
o Now to consume any residual electrical charge from the capacitors protecting the memory, perform the following as it is the basics of this:
If you see an access door to the battery compartment, your equipment has a removable battery. Remove the battery, press and hold the power button for 15 seconds, reinsert the battery back into the compartment and proceed to the next step.
If you do not see any access door to the battery compartment, your computer does not have a removable battery. On most laptops with a non-removable battery, press and hold the power button for 15 seconds to complete the restart and proceed to the next step. 1. Reconnect the AC adapter to the computer, but do not connect any peripheral devices.
2. Turn on the computer.
If a startup menu opens, use the arrow keys to select Start Windows normally and then press enter.
3. Once the peripheral devices are connected, run Windows Update and HP Support Assistant to update all drivers.
