My laptop has suddenly started lagging. This has never happened before. The problem started not too long ago (maybe 2-3 weeks). The problem occurs after being ingame or idling. The system suddenly turns into what i can describe as <30hz. I went into my favorite game and checked the Frames Per Second there. It was 120 although it felt like 30-20 FPS. I dont know what to do and i cant buy a new computer for 1-2 years, so that means i dont wanna lose this one. I really need help. The problem gets fixed by restarting the Laptop and it doesnt occur for some time but in the same session it happens again.
Again my whole system is like this its "Choppy". Mouse lag also occurs, but i think its the same problem as the fps.
Specs:
-GTX 1070
-I7 8750H 2.2GHZ
-16 GB RAM
-SSD c: and D:HDD

What's the version of Win 10 installed on the computer?
Try these steps to find out -
1.) Select the Start button > Settings > System > About .
2.) Under Windows specifications, check which edition and version of Windows your device is running.
Let me know.

I've found the problem- Thermal throttling.
But i still got performance issues. The laptop when i first got it was a beast but now..... its a bit too slow for me.
Games lag and cant hold their fps consistently.
My disk space is plenty 150 in c: and 527 in d:
Should i use the hp support tab "Software and drivers"? But i got a question for that tab. How do you use it? I do not know which ones i should install
