Hi @Anish13,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with the touchpad on your HP Pavilion x360. Touchpad problems can be frustrating, but there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue.

  • Clean the Touchpad: Sometimes, dirt or debris on the touchpad surface can interfere with its functionality. Use a soft cloth to clean the touchpad gently.
  • Restart Your Laptop: Sometimes, a simple restart can fix temporary glitches with the touchpad or drivers.
  • Check Touchpad Settings: Make sure the touchpad is enabled and the settings are configured correctly. To access the touchpad settings, go to "Control Panel" > "Hardware and Sound" > "Mouse" > "Device Settings" (or a similar path depending on your Windows version). Here, you can adjust sensitivity and other touchpad settings.
  • Update Touchpad Drivers: Outdated or corrupted touchpad drivers can cause problems. Go to the HP website, search for your laptop's model, and download the latest touchpad drivers from the support section. Install the drivers and restart your laptop.
  • Roll Back Drivers: If updating the drivers didn't help, you can try rolling back to the previous version to see if that resolves the issue. To do this, go to "Device Manager," find the touchpad under "Mice and other pointing devices," right-click, and select "Properties." Then, go to the "Driver" tab and choose "Roll Back Driver" if the option is available.
  • Check for Windows Updates: Windows updates can sometimes fix known issues. Make sure your Windows operating system is up to date.
  • Check for Physical Damage: Inspect the touchpad surface for any visible damage or cracks. Physical damage might require professional repair or replacement.
  • Test in Safe Mode: Boot your laptop into Safe Mode and see if the touchpad works correctly there. This step helps identify if third-party software or drivers are causing the problem.
  • External Mouse Test: If possible, connect an external USB mouse to your laptop to see if it works correctly. This will help determine if the issue is specific to the touchpad or a broader problem with the laptop's input devices.
  • System Restore: If the problem started recently, you can try restoring your laptop to a point before the issue occurred using System Restore.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
