Okay, so I can flip the screen and turn the laptop into a tablet, and I can hit the cute little button to put it into tablet mode, but how do I stop the keyboard and touchpad now on the underside from operating when I'm going nuts with the pen?

Please download the AMD Virtual Buttons Driver from this Link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-envy-15-bq000-x360-convertible-pc/1555...

Also download the BIOS from this Link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-envy-15-bq000-x360-convertible-pc/1555...

Welcome to HP Support Community

Let's try these steps

The keyboard in Windows 10 has an automatic detector to disable the keyboard and the trackpad as soon as it becomes a 'tablet'. To access it go to the following menu items:

Control panel  -> Keyboard (use icons) -> Keyboard Lock -> Auto-Lock the keyboard and touchpad (recommended)

You can use these settings to disable the keyboard in tablet mode

I also suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...

HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also ensure Windows is up to date.

Select the Start  button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available

Keep me posted how it goes

Thank you and have a wonderful day 😊

Did you run the HPSA to update all the drivers?

Did you have this issue from Day One or was the Notebook working fine in Tablet Mode earlier?

We can check if there is an Intel Virtual Buttons Driver available

Please provide me with the complete Notebook Model or Product Number

You can refer to this Link: hp.care/2bygf7l for help in locating the Product Number.

Thank you 😊
