I have a HP Pavilion x2 - 10-n113dx (ENERGY STAR). My question is why doesn’t this come with touch screen capabilities? It has a tablet mode but when detaching the keyboard and using it in tablet mode, there is really no way to use it with it having no touch screen capabilities. Is there any way possible to upgrade the display? Just kind of lost on what the tablet mode is for to begin with. I apologize if this question is irrelevant.

@Alaax, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Normally, the HP Pavilion x2 series does come with a touchscreen, especially because it’s marketed as a 2-in-1. It's possible one of the following is happening:

Touchscreen is Present But Not Working:

It may have a touchscreen that is disabled, driver issues, or hardware failure.

Here’s how to verify if your system is even recognizing a touchscreen:

Device Manager Check:

Press Windows + X > Click Device Manager

Expand Human Interface Devices

Look for something like HID-compliant touch screen

System Information Tool:

Press Windows + R, type msinfo32, hit Enter.

Look for: Touch Support with x Touch Points

If it says No pen or touch input is available, it has no touch capability.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
