Hi@Anshulag,

Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!

I see you are experiencing Tablet mode issues with the HP Pavilion x360 Laptop.

I have a few recommendations

  • Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM.
  • Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date.
  • Please click on this link for more settings. https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04856156
  • You can also try doing Reset PC Keep my files from windows and check if it works.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Hey fellow sufferers, i too have had this X360 problem for wait for it...6.5 years now! Yes after buying my x360 in 2015 the last update of 2015 disabled tablet mode, reduced its wifi ability's to like 10 feet from router and disabled bluetooth completely. I've learned to get over the wireless & bluetooth issues by simply not using bluetooth on this PC and making sure i'm close to the router when using wifi - the tablet mode has been a real pain. The tablet mode was fixed after 1 year of effort via HP and Microsoft collectively but it took 4 x complete rebuilds, from scratch. But then alas the very next windows 10 update in summer 2016 put it right back to where it was in late 2015. No tablet mode.

Since then numerous attempts to replace the HID drivers for tablet mode failed, no help on any forums and nothing worth mentioning on here from HP (Apart from being told my warranty had passed so no more support would be forth coming)

All i keep hearing is rebuild the PC, take it back to factory settings and start again. This is all very well but the crux of the matter is the HID drivers will not stick! In fact if i remember they are not even available!

So my advice is if its new send it back now before the warranty is invalid - or do not consider your purchase as a tablet pc just forget that option and use it the old fashioned way - it aint worth the pain to get it fixed,,, because they can not fix it, sorry to be the bearer of bad news but after 6.5 years of trying dont put yourself through the pain of backing up your files, rebuilding, starting again...cut your losses and enjoy your life!

Oh wait i forgot to add, my PC now tells me categorically i do not have tablet mode enabled on this PC - so in a nutshell the windows update completely rebranded my pc to a non tablet PC. Clever eh!
