HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 15-ds1003ca
Microsoft Windows 11

After upgrading to windows 11, tablet mode no longer works.  I purchased this laptop for it's functionality as a tablet.  Now, I can no longer use it as a tablet because the physical keyboard does not disable when I flip it over.  I have tried everything to no avail.  Is there a work around or maybe I am missing something.

Hi @DanielaTaz,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with the tablet mode on your HP ENVY x360 laptop after upgrading to Windows 11. Here are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem.

  • Update your drivers: Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your laptop. Visit the HP support website and download the latest drivers specifically designed for Windows 11.
  • Restart your laptop: Sometimes a simple restart can help resolve software issues. Restart your laptop and see if the tablet mode starts working again.
  • Check tablet mode settings: Open the Action Center by clicking on the Notification Center icon in the taskbar or pressing Windows key + A. Look for the Tablet mode button and ensure it is enabled. If it's already enabled, try toggling it off and on again to see if it makes any difference.
  • Reset tablet mode settings: If the above steps don't work, you can try resetting the tablet mode settings. Go to Settings > System > Tablet mode. Under the Tablet mode options, click on "Reset" to restore the default settings.
  • Perform a system update: Windows updates often include bug fixes and improvements. Check for any available updates by going to Settings > Windows Update and click on "Check for updates." Install any pending updates and restart your laptop if required.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Thank you for the suggestions.  I have done ALL before you suggested them and nothing helped.

All drivers are up to date, Windows 11 is up to date, I have restarted my laptop SEVERAL times, windows key A there is NO tablet mode to enable, windows/settings there is NO tablet mode so I cannot reset/disable/re-enable…it is simply not there!

I read somewhere that Microsoft has done away with the drivers for this....is that true?  I bought this particular laptop for it's functionality as a tablet.  Now what?
