Has anyone had success in disabling tap to click on the Spectre x360? I have tried to turn off the tapping feature in the settings tab and in the control panel but neither works for me. I have followed the instructions from every forum I could find and nothing has worked. Any and all help would be appreciated!

Hi @paidibonan
Can you tell me what your expectations are when you disable the feature and the issues that you have with the tapping feature?

Hi!
Sure! My expectations are that I would be able to disable tap-to-click, so that to click something I would need to physically push down the touchpad. I have found that I often accidentally touch the touchpad and click when I do not want to, even though I have the sensitivity set to low. The other touch pad options (using 2 fingers to scroll, 3 fingers to show all open apps, etc.) I am fine with, I just cannot stand tap to click.
There is no option for me in touchpad settings or in the control panel's mouse properties involving tap to click, so I am not sure how to turn it off.
Hope that helps,
Hannah

You and I are in the same boat, so to speak.
I own a 2019 Spectre X360 13" ultrabook.
After the last Windows 10 feature update I lost all the nice touchpad features as well.
I am going to try to resolve the issue by uninstalling the driver and then reinstalling it. I suggest having a USB or wireless mouse available if you try it as well. I will let you know of my success or failure.

HI!
OK.
I installed the (May 2019) Feature Update to Windows 10 and the Synaptic Touchpad App came back to life, including the settings area.
Prior to the installation of the Feature update , the app had everything but the version and reset devices greyed out.
I suggest that you give it a try.
It may resolve the issue you are having.
