Hi @25Wolfelady
You're welcome!
Since the wake option is greyed out, let's focus on finding the best docking station for your setup. Given that you have a wireless Logitech keyboard and mouse and an older Samsung monitor with a VGA port, you'll need a docking station that supports USB peripherals and VGA output.
Top Docking Stations for Your Setup
1. Anker 568 USB-C Docking Station
- Ports: USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, DisplayPort, Ethernet
- Best for: Multiple monitors, high-speed data transfer
- Where to find: PCMag’s docking station guide
2. Dell Thunderbolt Dock WD22TB4
- Ports: Thunderbolt 4, DisplayPort, HDMI, USB-A, Ethernet
- Best for: Future-proofing with Thunderbolt support
- Where to find: PCMag’s docking station guide
3. IOGear Dock Pro
- Ports: USB-A, USB-C, HDMI, VGA
- Best for: VGA monitor compatibility
- Where to find: TechRadar’s docking station guide
4. Baseus 17-in-1 Docking Station
- Ports: USB-C, USB-A, HDMI, VGA, Ethernet
- Best for: Wide port selection, including VGA
- Where to find: ZDNet’s docking station guide
Since your Samsung monitor uses VGA, I’d recommend checking if your laptop supports VGA output or if you’ll need a VGA-to-HDMI adapter.
The docking station recommendations I provided are based on an online search and general compatibility guidelines. HP does not specifically endorse or take accountability for third-party accessories, so it's best to try them at your own discretion.
Before purchasing, I’d recommend checking your laptop’s port compatibility and ensuring that the docking station meets your needs. If you have any doubts, reaching out to the manufacturer’s support for additional guidance can be helpful! 🚀
Take care, and stay fantastic!

It sounds frustrating that your Targus ACP71USZ docking station worked fine with your HP 15-cc123cl but isn't powering your HP Pavilion 16-af000 or waking it from sleep with a wireless mouse or keyboard.
Here are some troubleshooting steps:
1. Check Power Delivery Compatibility
- Ensure the Targus ACP71USZ supports the power requirements of the HP Pavilion 16-af000.
- Some newer laptops require higher wattage than older models.
2. Update Docking Station Firmware
- Visit the Targus Support page and check for firmware updates for the ACP71USZ.
- Install any available updates and restart the docking station.
3. Adjust Windows Power Settings
- Open Device Manager (Windows + X > Device Manager).
- Expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers.
- Right-click each USB Root Hub and select Properties.
- Under Power Management, uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.
4. Enable Wake from Sleep
- Open Device Manager and expand Keyboards and Mice.
- Right-click your wireless keyboard/mouse and select Properties.

Thanks HawkEye - tried everything. Unfortunately the 'Allow this device to wake the computer." is greyed out and does not allow me to check it. What is the best docking station for this laptop? I have a wireless logitech keyboard and mouse and an older model Samsung Monitor with VGA port.
