OMEN by HP 16.1 inch Gaming Laptop PC 16-wf0000 (7B9S3AV)

(See video on HD mode)

This is a new labtop that I've had for only a few months. After using the labtop for a period of time, there is a chance that the flickering / jittering in the video would occur. If I restart my labtop, it is fixed. This happens two times now, even after updating my display drivers.

When this problem occurs, moving the cursor around tend to trigger the issue even more. This can also happen in other applications beside Windows.

My graphic driver version, date:
31.0.15.5244, 5/7/2024
(Nvidia RTX 4060 Labtop)

My Bios version,date:
Insyde F.16, 3/26/2024

Probably  a driver problem. I had to look closely to spot the problem.

When it happens again try graphics reset

hold down key combination Win + Ctrl + Shift + B.

It takes about 2 seconds and the graphics will reset.

Try changing the resolution and the refresh rate.

If 60hz go higher on refresh.

You can wait for an HP driver update or periodically try the rtx-4060 mobile drivers that NVidia releases on occasion.

How bad is the flickering during game play?

Thanks for the reply! I will try Win Ctrl Shift B the next time this problem happen, which could take a while since I don't know how to reproduce it. In a game, it could make all texts pixelated and unreadable. The periodic flickering makes it worse.

If Win Ctrl Shift B fixes the problem, what does that tell? Is it an implication that the graphic driver is the cause?
