Hi @LuigiDC,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand the camera on your HP ENVY x360 - 13-ag0999na is not working, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try:

1. Check Device Manager:

  • Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.
  • Expand the Imaging Devices section.
  • Look for your camera in the list. If you see a yellow exclamation mark or the camera is missing, right-click on it and choose Update driver.

2. Check Camera Privacy Settings:

  • Go to Settings > Privacy > Camera.
  • Ensure that access to the camera is allowed for apps. Turn on Allow apps to access your camera and make sure the specific apps you want to use the camera with are enabled.

3. Check Camera App Settings:

  • Open the Camera app from the Start menu.
  • If you see an error or the camera doesn’t turn on, try resetting the app. Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & features, find the Camera app, and select Advanced options. Then click on Reset.

4. Run Hardware Troubleshooter:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
  • Select Hardware and Devices and run the troubleshooter to see if it can detect and fix any issues.

5. Check for Windows Updates:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  • Check for any pending updates and install them.

6. Reinstall Camera Drivers:

  • In Device Manager, right-click on the camera device and select Uninstall device.
  • Restart your laptop. Windows should automatically reinstall the camera drivers.

7. Check for Third-Party Software Conflicts:

  • Sometimes, third-party software can interfere with the camera. Try disabling or uninstalling any third-party software that might be using the camera.

8. Check Physical Camera:

  • Ensure that the camera lens is not obstructed or dirty.

9. Update BIOS:

  • Visit HP’s support website and check if there’s a BIOS update available for your laptop model. Follow the instructions to update if needed.
