I have tried adjusting the colors to no avail. The blue is showing as a very light blue not the dark royal blue it should be for Microsoft. The gray wording is showing very faintly and is very hard to read.
I have looked for any updates on down loads but could not find any. When I plug the PC into a monitor the colors on the monitor are coming out closer to what I expect.
thank you for any assistance that can be provided.

Welcome to HP Support Forum. I hope you're well @JamesJay
I read your post about the PC display color issue and wanted to stop in to share my suggestions with you 🙂
I understand that you are getting faded colors on your notebook internal display. First off, try the steps listed here: HP Notebook PCs - Color variation on multiple screens | HP® Support
Also, check the steps below to try and change the color calibration on your PC:
- Press the Windows logo key and type dccw in the Desktop Search box and click the dccw.exe file
- You will get the Display Color Calibrator window.
- Go through the options to adjust the color calibration settings.
- It’s not very fancy, but should do the job 😉
I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!
Good luck 🙂
