HP 250 15.6 inch G9 Notebook PC (511W0AV)

HI. I just bought a brand new laptop HP 250 G9 (still in warranty for almost 12 months) and noticed first day the screen/display has "the screen-door effect". If I connect it to some other monitor the screen/display is normal. I have used numbers of HP laptops but never had such an issue. Beside that colors are obviously not correct and sometime part of the screen turns into different color (like if screensaver is dark, left 1/3 partially becomes a bit red or there are even some reddish vertical stripes). So something is obviously wrong. Everything possible software wise including the drivers is already upgraded to the last versions (according to guidelines given to similar issues here) also Scale & Layout is set correctly like (by recommended settings), only thing I am not sure how to do is to try and setup something in BIOS to get display out of this useless display mode (but I am not comfortable to do that on my own) that is not at least not healthy or in anyway not possible to use long term due to many times wrong or mixed colors beside the absolutely annoying screen-door effect. Issues can be be seen quite well below in the photo.

You were right. At service they changed the screen as it was of course under warranty and now it is like it should be.

I understand your concerns, but we are not HP Tech Support, so we have no way to fix or repair this, nor can we authorize any such repairs or returns or refunds.

If this were mine, I would contact the seller and arrange to return it for a full refund.

Well it has to be something with the settings or BIOS settings. For sure it's not meant to be like this forever 🙂 I believe it is solvable.

Understand -- but as I said, we have no way of solving this for you.

You could try contacting HP directly to see if they will do any service under the warranty for you:

Of course they will. But this can't be hardware issue IMO.
