I just recently switched over to the HP Zbook Studio 16 inch G10 Mobile Workstation with a HP Thunderbolt Dock 280W G4 from a HP ZBook 17 G6 With a Thunderbolt Dock 230W G2. I run 4 monitors and the laptop screen but with the dock USB-C connector plugged into the left side of the laptop, it is not using my GPU and is only using the onboard graphics card. I have tried everything that I can think of to try to get it working with the GPU but have had no luck. The only time it seems to use the GPU is when I have the Dock USB-C plugged into the right side of the laptop but it is very tight and puts strain on the connector. I also get a notification saying that some features may not be available when plugging into the right side. Please advise.
Also would like to note that one monitor will go out from time to time for about 5 seconds and then come back on. It is not always the same monitor.
Is the best option another dock to run the monitors off of?
