HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-eu0000 (267R8AV)

When connecting my HP Envy X360 to my brand new LG Ultrawide (LG - 40WP95C-W - 5K) via Thunderbolt, the screen works well for a few seconds, then switches off and reconnects. I've tried a different cable, updated plenty of drivers, but still no luck. Working fine with another laptop via DisplayPort.

What is your 15-eu0000 (267R8AV)  machine ? It should have SAME ports as the following machine

 

             HP ENVY x360 Convert 15-eu0097nr

 

Which shows it has 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 10Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge) port which is NOT a Thunderbolt port, which lower bandwidth therefore it i NOT compatible with your LG monitor.
