What is your HP Omen 17 ? Many Omen machines have Thunderbolt™ 3 port(s). What is your eGPU ? If your machine did not have Thunderbolt™ 3 port and eGPU required Thunderbolt™ 3 port then ii would not work. Keep eGPU for your next machine or sell it.

Regards.
