HP Pavilion x360-m1-uoo1dx
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I had this laptop original with windows 10 from manufacture and I did downgrade to windows 8.1pro since I need to run a prgram that works only with windows 8.1.

Now my touch screen is not working and can not find any driver, shows no pen or touch input available. Also i did check on device manager and dont see any HID for touch screen.

Can somebody please help me out with this matter.

Hi @josemillennium,

Thank you for the results. If the BIOS does not recognize the touchscreen, the driver would not help as it has nothing to install to. Here is a link to HP PCs - Troubleshooting Touch Screen Issues (Windows 10, 😎 that I hope will help.

I understand that your notebook came with Windows 10 pre-installed. You needed a program that would not work in Windows 10 therefore, you downgraded to Windows 8.1 Pro. Now your touchscreen is not responding. When you checked Device Manager there is nothing listed under HID. Have you tried scanning for hardware changes in Device Manager? Have you downloaded and installed the HP Support Assistant to aid with driver updates? Have you done all your Windows updates? Is the touchscreen recognized in the BIOS? If not, along the bottom you should see an option for defaults. Please choose that option.

Please let me know the outcome.
