My leptop waranty over an touch pad problem

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your HP laptop's warranty has expired and you're facing a touchpad issue, you still have several good options. Please try and let me know.

Before heading to a service center, try these steps:

  1. Restart your laptop – Sometimes a simple reboot can fix temporary glitches.
     
  2. Update the touchpad driver:
    • Go to Device Manager > Mice and other pointing devices.
    • Right-click your touchpad and select Update driver.
       
  3. Enable the touchpad:
    • Go to Settings > Devices > Touchpad and ensure it’s turned on.
       
  4. Hard reset:
    • Shut down your laptop, unplug it, and hold the power button for 15 seconds. Then restart.
       

If none of these work, a hardware issue is likely.
