Hi@shirlgirl1948,

Thank you for your reply,

If the touch screen on your HP ENVY 13 laptop (model ENVY13-Ba1000) is not working, there are several troubleshooting steps you can take to try to resolve the issue:

Restart Your Computer: Sometimes, a simple restart can fix minor software glitches that may be causing the touch screen to malfunction.

Check Device Manager:

  • Right-click on the Start button and select Device Manager.
  • Expand the section for Human Interface Devices.
  • Look for the touch screen driver. It might be listed as "HID-compliant touch screen" or something similar.
  • If you see a yellow exclamation mark next to the touch screen driver, it indicates a problem. Right-click on it and select "Update driver" to see if there are any updates available.

Calibrate the Touch Screen:

  • Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Tablet PC Settings.
  • Click on the "Calibrate" button and follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the touch screen.

Check for Physical Damage: Inspect the touch screen for any physical damage, such as cracks or scratches. Physical damage can affect the functionality of the touch screen.

Perform a System Restore: If the touch screen recently stopped working after a software update or installation, you can try performing a system restore to revert your system to a previous state when the touch screen was working. To do this, search for "System Restore" in the Start menu and follow the prompts.

Update Drivers and Windows: Ensure that your operating system and drivers are up-to-date. Sometimes, outdated drivers or system software can cause compatibility issues with the touch screen.

Run Hardware Diagnostics: HP laptops usually come with built-in hardware diagnostic tools that you can access during startup. These tools can help identify any hardware issues, including problems with the touch screen.
