HP Spectre x360 Convertible Laptop PC 13-aw2000 (8UY97AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I have had my HP Spectrex360 for around 6 months. When it arrived, I noticed some small horizontal marks on the screen that didn't appear to be scratches, so I assumed they were smudges and continued. Since then, more of these small not-scratches have appeared over time, seemingly at random, with grease getting trapped in them very easily. They catch the sunlight and are very distracting when I try to work without my screen on full brightness. Nothing I do to stop them appearing has stopped more from happening. I believe this may be an issue with the anti-glare coating on the touchscreen but cannot get anywhere with HP Support as they refuse to assist me unless I uninstall windows 11, even after I have repeatedly informed them that it is clearly a hardware problem that I had before upgrading. Has anyone had a similar issue, and if so how did you get it fixed? If I have to go private I may have to simply replace the laptop as I am tired of this and other small issues that should be covered by my warranty being ignored by HP.

I have the same problem: marks on the anti glare coating, not scratches. My 13-aw0030ng was manufactured in 2019. Infortunately, warranty expired a wekk ago ...

This seems to be a design problem, as the same problem has been discussed in 2020 in this forum. At that time, there were 22 other users who had the same problem.

.When you map the marks on the coating to the keyboard, you can see that it's the part above the trackpad and 2 places just next to it, and a number of small dots scattered across the keyboard area.
