Hello i own the hp pavilion convertable laptop

is it okay that when i press a bit hard on the touch screen it sounds like a verrryy small crack sound

Keep in mind that the screen is working perfectly without any damages and its new

but i was concerned is the crack sound normal to happen due to the screen’s layers gap inside?

Is the sound normal?

Yes, a very faint crackling or creaking sound can sometimes be heard when pressing on a touchscreen, especially on convertible or 2-in-1 laptops. This is usually due to:

• Layered construction of the display: Touchscreens have multiple layers (glass, digitizer, LCD, etc.), and slight movement or flexing between these layers can produce a sound.
• Frame flex: The bezel or chassis may slightly flex under pressure, especially near the edges.
• Temperature or humidity changes: These can cause minor expansion or contraction of materials, which may contribute to occasional sounds.

As long as:

• The screen is not cracked or visibly damaged
• Touch functionality is working perfectly
• There are no display issues (flickering, dead pixels, discoloration)

...then this sound is generally not a cause for concern.

What you can do:

To be safe, here are a few steps you can take:

Avoid pressing hard on the screen, capacitive touchscreens are designed to respond to light touches.

Thank you so much for your support 

but i went to check the store that i’ve bought the laptop from and tested thier laptop i didn’t hear any sound from thier laptop unlike mine whenever i press it sounds a bit of cracking so i dont know what’s the problem im gonna take it to them so they can check if there was any manufacturing issues
