Before the reset process on my pavilion, there were features such as two-finger, three-finger and four-finger clicking on the touchpad, and scrolling by dragging with two fingers, but after the format process, I cannot do any of these and I cannot find the driver named synaptics on the hp support drivers download page. There is no existing touch driver, I need help urgently.

Hi @demir47,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
HP Support Site: Visit the HP Support page and enter your product details to access the correct drivers. Occasionally, drivers for specific devices like the touchpad may be listed under a different category such as "Input" or "Other" rather than "Mouse and Keyboard."
Device Manager Update:
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand the Mice and other pointing devices section.
- Right-click on your touchpad device and select Update driver.
- Choose Search automatically for updated driver software. If that does not work, use Browse my computer for drivers, and allow Windows to look for suitable drivers automatically on your system.
Install Synaptics Driver:
- If you initially had Synaptics touchpad software, try searching on third-party sites like the Synaptics website or driver aggregate sites. Be sure to download from a reliable source.
- Alternatively, try using an older driver available on the HP website for your model or similar models and manually install it using the "Have Disk" option in the Update Drivers window.
Windows Update: Ensure that your Windows OS is fully updated as sometimes updates can provide missing drivers or software.
Re-enable Gestures: Once the driver is installed, ensure that multi-touch gestures are enabled:
- Go to Settings > Devices > Touchpad.
- Ensure options like Scrolling and Multi-finger gestures are turned on.
Troubleshoot Tools: HP also offers troubleshooting tools for hardware issues which could potentially resolve driver mismatches or errors. These can be found on the HP support site.
I hope this helps.
