Hi @Barbarella_NT ,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing multiple issues with your HP Notebook. Here are steps you can try to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the problems:
Keyboard and Touchpad Issues:
Driver Update:
- Ensure that your keyboard and touchpad drivers are up to date. You can check and update them through the Device Manager.
- Go to Device Manager, find the keyboard and touchpad devices, right-click, and select "Update driver."
BIOS/UEFI Update:
- Check if there is a BIOS or UEFI update available for your laptop on the HP support website.
Windows Updates:
- Make sure your Windows operating system is up to date. Install any pending updates.
Hardware Check:
- If the problems persist, it could be a hardware issue. You may want to contact HP support for further assistance or take your laptop to an authorized service center.
HDMI and Display Issues:
Display Settings:
- Make sure your display settings are configured correctly. Right-click on the desktop, select "Display settings," and verify that the settings match your setup.
HDMI Cable and Port:
- Ensure that your HDMI cable is in good condition and properly connected. Try using a different HDMI cable and port on your TV if available.
Graphics Driver Update:
- Update your graphics driver to the latest version. Visit the graphics card manufacturer's website (NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel) to download and install the latest driver.
Extended Display Troubleshooting:
- Before extending displays, try mirroring or using only the second screen to identify if the issue is specific to the extended display mode.
System Restore:
- If the issues started after a recent update or installation, you might want to perform a system restore to a point before the problems began.
External Display Only:
- If your laptop's display is not functioning, try using the external display as the primary display. You can set this in the display settings.
Safe Mode:
- Try booting your laptop in Safe Mode to see if the issues persist. If they don't, it might indicate a software conflict.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.-
