Hello @LoydC,

If you want to simply disable the touchpad, you can do so in Device Manager:

  1. Press Windows Key + R
  2. Type in devmgmt.msc and press Enter
  3. Expand Mice and other pointing devices
  4. Right-click the Synaptics Touchpad entity
  5. Select Disable device

If you'd like to disable the touchpad when an external pointing device is connected, there are two potential methods:

  1. Search Touchpad settings
  2. Select Additional Settings
  3. Navigate to the right-most tab which should be named Synaptics or something
  4. Select Disable internal pointing device when external USB pointing device is connected

If that doesn't work:

  1. Search Synaptics Touchpad in Windows Search
  2. Select Disable internal pointing device when external USB pointing device is connected

Kind regards,

Eddy
