HP Envy 13-ah0001nb
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Lately i have had alot of problems with my touchpad. 2 finger scroll works after a reboot, but after a while it starts behaving badly: it still response to the 2-finger gesture, but very slow. Rebooting the pc fixes this again, for a while ...

I read on this site that removing the driver and letting it install it again by itsself fixes the issue. I removed it, in indeed reinstalled itsself again, but the 2-finger site isnt working at all anymore.

@DaVL Welcome to HP Community!

I understand you have issues using 2 finger scrolling on your laptop.

Don't worry I'd like to help you out.

Did you make any software or hardware changes on your laptop?

Please provide the product number of your laptop to assist you better.

As you mentioned the touchpad 2 finger scrolling has stopped functioning on your laptop.

Try the steps recommended below.

In the Windows search box, type TouchPad.
From the results list click TouchPad settings.
Click Additional settings.
Click the TouchPad Settings or the ClickPad Settings tab. If you have a Synaptics device, the tab includes the Synaptics icon.
You can adjust the TouchPad settings for scrolling.
Put a check mark in the check box next to scrolling to enable scrolling.
Also, put a check mark next to two finger scrolling to enable two finger scrolling.

Try uninstalling the touchpad drivers from device manager and install the latest touchpad drivers and check if it helps.

Uninstall the touchpad drivers from device manager and install touchpad drivers using HP recovery manager and check if it helps.

Refer this article to know how to restore drivers using HP recovery manager.

Also, update the BIOS and touchpad drivers using HP support assistant if the issue persists.
